Gallagher: 'I loved the scenes at full-time. Not enough of those moments this and last season'

Chelsea beat Newcastle in the League Cup quarter-final in a dramatic fashion, first scoring a 92nd-minute equaliser and then winning the penalty shootout.

The Blues' players wildly celebrated the victory at Stamford Bridge, with everyone in the team joining the celebrations.

"I felt we deserved to win the game and obviously everyone is happy. We just had to keep going which we did," Conor Gallagher said after the game.

"We had a lot of the ball, a lot of possession and we just had to keep creating the chances which we did and eventually we got one in. It was really good for us to stay focused and keep going. It was frustrating at times but we got what we deserved in the end.

"I loved the scenes at full-time. There haven’t been enough of those moments this season and last season, so hopefully there will be many more."
